Originally I’m from the midwest and don’t know too much about the west coast with the exception of a couple brief visits and what I’ve heard from college classmates. Is it possible to succeed in the real estate business without having lived and experienced the market in a particular region? I’m 19 at the moment and I really want to work in real estate and being a landlord. Particularly I would love to be a student landlord as I live in a city with two universities and a lot of students that need somewhere to live while they study.
At the moment I’m working in a letting agency part time and I’ve learned quite a lot about the business and estates.
But I have no idea where to start myself or where I’m supposed to get the money from to invest. Any advice?
