If this is something you want to pursue, look into your local college programs for real estate closers. So if what you sell has nothing to do with real estate then you would not need a real estate license. However if you are selling a gas station and that includes the land then yes you would need a real estate license. It may be smarter for you to work with one of the larger real estate firms for a while, to get the feel for the business. You will still need to pass the Real Estate and Broker's Exams.
